Skiing is a recreation that can go from one extreme to another. While some locals (and guests!) prefer a peaceful cross-country trip over a river and through the woods, others love the thrill and sounds of the "Schussssss" while skiing down some of the areas most impressive runs at our beautiful resorts. Shanty Creek Resort in Mancelona has three villages - The Summit in Bellaire, Schuss Mountain in Mancelona, and the newest, Cedar River Lodge, located between the two.
