Count Matt Wooten, of Williamsburg, among the lucky hunters. He brought this 8 point buck, shot near Bellaire, to the Buck Pole on the second day. It weighed 157 pounds and carried a rack with a 17 1/2" spread.

- Description: Joshua Watrous was the last registration of the 2009 Mancelona Buck Pole. The Bellaire resident shot this in Bellaire. It was one of the eleven 8-point bucks brought to the Buck Pole this year. Joshua's buck weighed 136 pounds, and the rack had a 15" spread. Good job, Joshua!

Rick Sutherland of Ellsworth bagged this beautiful 9 point buck near Ellsworth. It weighed in at 179 pounds and had a 17 1/2" rack. It was one of the six 9-point bucks we had registered at the Mancelona Buck Pole in 2009.

- Description: Corey Smith of Central Lake took $100 cash for "Most Points." His 164 pound buck, a 10 point, had an 18" rack. He bagged this off M-88 Highway. [Each deer can take only one major cash prize - either heaviest, most points or widest rack. Since the 12 point buck was also the heaviest, he forfeits the most points to the next in line. In this case, it was Corey's.]
