Welcome! You are at the home page of the Mancelona Regional Chamber of Commerce.  Mancelona is located in the northwest region of Michigan's lower peninsula, in beautiful Antrim County.  We have had a serious shortage of snow this winter which has prompted the cancellation and/or rescheduling of several winter-time events.

EVENTS

A full list of upcoming events can be found on our Calendar of Events page. They include the following highlights:

WHITE PINE STAMPEDE - Ski Race - February 4, 2012 - CANCELLED due to lack of snow

SNOWMOBILE RIDE-IN BEAN POT - February 4, 2012 - At Jordan River National Fish Hatchery (event is a GO regardless of weather). Stop in for hot bean soup made over an outdoor fire. Beverages, tours and events for families and kids. Bean Pot opens 10:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. Ride in from the Jordan River trail, or come in via U.S. 131 at Turner Road. Event is sponsored by Friends of the Jordan River National Fish Hatchery. There is no charge, however, donations are greatly appreciated.

DRAG RACING / FIREWORKS - in Alba across from the Antrim County Snowmobile Club, U.S. 131 at Kregula Road (just south of Alba caution light on east side of U.S. 131).  The drag racing has been cancelled due to lack of snow, but the Snowmobile Club will be open. Stop in for lunch. A bonfire will be set up Saturday late morning and throughout the day, outside across from the clubhouse. Stop over and visit.  FIREWORKS in the open field across from the Snowmobile Club, at dusk.

GRUDGE RACING & TEST & TUNE - at Infinity Raceway in Mancelona.  This will be held across the road from the raceway.  Registration begins 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning February 4, and the racing/events begin at 10:00 a.m.  Please check InfinityRaceway.com for any changes in schedule (the event was confirmed a "go" on Friday February 3 at 2:00 p.m.)
